Delhomme wins QB event?
In their Saturday edition, the paper ran a photo with the following caption:
"The Lions' Joey Harrington runs and obstacle course at the EA Sports NFL Quarterback Challenge on Friday in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Harrington finished last with 180 points, 82 behind the winner, Carolina's Jake Delhomme, who earned $65,000."
The event wil be televised on CBS Sports July 16-17, and the results weren't widely publicized.
"I can't really say I have too much strategy or gameplan for the drills but there is one - the two minute drill - that I have some ideas for," Jake wrote in his NFLPlayers.com journal the day before the event. " I did OK with it last year but Matt Hasselbeck had the advantage of having done it before. But this year I know what to expect and I found out what to do."
Delhomme competed against Drew Brees, Joey Harrington, Matt Hasselbeck, Byron Leftwich, Carson Palmer and Ben Roethlisberger.
