Biography:
Torrie capped off his senior 2002 season with 75 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 13 passes defended. He was the starting cornerback the last two years at Pitt and was a very important special teams player in 1999 and 2000, as special teams captain both years and special teams MVP in 2000.

Torrie combines hard-hitting play with the all-important closing speed to compete in the pros. Those abilities, plus his kick return ability and an excellent East-West Shrine Game, should assure him interest in the 2003 draft.

Perhaps one of his most exciting games was the 2001 Visit Florida Tangerine Bowl, where, late in the game, he clinched a Pitt victory with an interception and 39-yard return to North Carolina State's 3-yard line.

At Miami Northwestern High School, Torrie was a First Team All-State selection and rushed for over 1,500 yards his senior year, leading the team to a ranking of 4th in the nation by USA Today.
