Carolina's Jake Delhomme won NFC offensive player of the week this week for his 294-yard, 2-touchdown performance against the Atlanta Falcons.
"It's a great team honor," Delhomme said. "Moose and Steve made some outstanding plays; I don't think there's any doubt. But certainly our (offensive) line; we had seven guys play, and let's be honest -- you want just the starting five to play the whole game. That's your plan every week. So they did a great job. "
Despite suffering a deep thigh bruise against the dirty birds last Sunday, Delhomme was back at practice again on Wednesday.
"It felt fine," Delhomme said. "It's sore, don't get me wrong, but I was able to do everything today and I wasn't limited in any aspect at all, so that was a good thing, and it's only Wednesday."
Expect Delhomme to be under center this week against the Chiefs.
