WR Doug Gabriel would be a nice fit with the Panthers offense in the third round of April's draft.

Doug Gabriel, UCF, Senior 6-2 204

Profile: Gabriel has put up big numbers, but he needs to improve on his route running and his ability to catch the football. Gabriel has great size and can make big plays on offense and comes down with the deep ball. However, Gabriel is inconsistent and some times he doesn't make the easy catches. He is willing to go over the middle. He has decent hands and speed. Gabriel is coachable, but definitely hasn't reached his full potential.

Fit with Panthers: Gabriel would be the Panthers number two wide receiver behind Muhsin Muhammad. Gabriel would help Muhammad in the passing game and provide the Panthers with a great number two wide out.

Projection: The Panthers will be able to draft Gabriel in the third round of the NFL draft.  The Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, and Atlanta Falcons have showed the most interest in Gabriel.
