Connor to IR

The Panthers rejoiced when Penn State linebacker Dan Connor was available with their second pick in the third round of this past draft.

The value of taking a player the caliber of Connor that late in the draft was too great to pass up.

That draft day excitement turned sour on Monday, when an MRI revealed that Connor tore an ACL in his left knee against the Vikings on Sunday.

The Panthers placed Connor on the IR, and have not immediately replaced his roster spot.
