Pre-game News and Notes

Carolina will be hard pressed to focus after the a week which could be called “The Nightmare on Mint Street.”

Dan Morgan makes his return after missing the first game against the Falcons. His speed at middle linebacker may impact Michael Vick’s ability to run.

The Panthers have not defeated the Falcons since November 28, 1999. Atlanta leads the all-time series 10-5.

Julius Peppers needs 4 sacks to break the rookie sack record (14.5). On the plus side, the Falcons have allowed 3 or more sacks in their last 4 games.

This is the first of a 3 game road stretch for the Falcons.
