Kemoeatu comes to Carolina from Baltimore, where he notched 70 tackles in 16 games last season. At 6-5, 350 lbs, the 27 year old Kemoeatu is the big, young space-eater that John Fox has coveted since joining the Panthers in 2002.
Scout.com had "Kemo" ranked as the 3rd best defensive tackle available in free agency behind Rocky Bernard and Chris Hovan.
"Big, run-stuffing defensive tackle is physical at the point of attack and will certainly improve an already good Carolina defensive line," wrote Scout.com’s Lane Adkins. "Kemoeatu was highly sought due to his ability to manhandle blockers and make plays. This is a very good signing for the Panthers."
