According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, NC State alum Mike Glennon will start at quarterback for Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Tampa Bay, currently 0-3, have benched Josh Freeman in favor of Glennon. Freeman, the team's 2009 first-round draft pick, completed just 45.7% of his passes in the three losses with three interceptions and a fumble.
Glennon was selected in the third round (73rd overall) of the 2013 draft by the Bucs. He will be the third rookie quarterback to start a game this season, joining Gino Smith (New York Jets) and E.J. Manuel (Buffalo Bills).
Mike Glennon, Russell Wilson, and Philip Rivers gives NC State three alums starting at quarterback this weekend, the most in the NFL.
